How to Turn On Automatic Maintenance Updates for OmniCenter

OmniCenter can be configured to automatically keep itself updated to the latest maintenance release for its minor release version.

To turn on automatic updates follow the steps below.

  1. Navigate to the OmniCenter Update page (Administration → System → Updates).
  2. Find the AUTOMATIC UPDATES configuration option (red box below) and set the option to ON.
  3. You’re done.

OmniCenter will now check for new maintenance releases early Sunday morning every week and automatically update itself whenever one is available.

Additionally, if any other OmniCenters are connected to this OmniCenter (such as service engines, HA slave/arbitrator or Overview clients) the update will automatically propagate to those OmniCenters, as well. Ensuring that all connected OmniCenters receive the latest fixes and updates.

Keep in mind that major version upgrades and minor version releases still require manual action by a user with SuperAdmin privileges.
